Antonin en contrôle, Benoît solide

Benoît dormira bien ce soir. Il est tête de série 1 de l’Open, et a donc joué déjà un match, et il a rempilé contre le tête de série numéro 1 du PSA, notre Antonin Romieu.

Personnellement, j’ai été très impressionée par sa condition physique, son bon esprit, son sens de l’humour – alors qu’il tardait à revenir sur le court après le deuxième jeu, il a déclaré à l’arbitre, avec un sourire “je suis vétéran, je n’entend plus bien” – sa précision et son sens tactique.

Il s’est retrouvé à beaucoup courir, il a bien tenu l’échange contre Antonin, mais comme on dit en anglais, il était du mauvais côté du long échange… Et même si le score ne le dit pas, le rythme était intense, les coups variés, les échanges bien construits.

Excellent match, excellent esprit, un bonheur.

The US Derby

If the first game was pretty one-sided, 11/4 in 8m, the rest of the match was intense, fast-paced and feisty at times.

To be noted that Hart made a single error throughout, 7 for his opponent Rudransh. A very high quality match, point for point in the second, with first blood for Hart, 10/8 from 8/8, and Rudransh forcing a tie-break. Third time lucky for Roberston, 12/10 in 14m.

Good reaction from Rudransh in the third, leading from 2/2, straight to 6/2. A wake-up call for his opponent, clinging back level, 7/7, 8/8, and this time, one attempt will be enough, 11/8 in 12m.
