Grégoire a dit…

“We know each other very well, we train with each other every day so there was no surprises. Seb is coming up the rankings and played really well in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago,” Marche said.

“He is way more solid than a year ago so there were no cheap points and I had to dig deep to win the rallies. It says 3-0 but I had to start from the beginning in every game because I had to make him work in the first few rallies.

“He is a good friend of mine so it is always hard to play a good friend. In the beginning, I was very sharp and he was not in the game so I knew in the second it would be tougher,” he explained.

“He came back with better quality in his game, better shots, and he was screaming and fist pumping. I knew the game could change in both ways, and I had two game balls but he defended them well.

“He then had one opportunity to take the game and at the end I think the second was very crucial, because I think it killed him. I knew I needed to be tough in the third game. I am moving well and I am very happy, feeling more confident as well.”
